Prepare a dryer installation checklist for the exact model
Identify the dryer type, space and approved arrangement before paying for delivery or installation.

Identify the actual dryer technology
The DESNZ product-information format distinguishes dryer technologies, including vented and different condenser types. Record the type stated for the exact appliance rather than assuming that all front-loading dryers have the same installation needs. The energy sheet is useful identification, while the installation manual supplies the detailed requirements.
The two historical dryer photographs show different external forms, but their appearance alone does not establish the technology or approved connections. Do not use an illustration to decide that an exhaust arrangement, drain connection or particular room is suitable. Obtain the exact instructions and appropriate installer advice where required.

Keep dimensions and required space separate
Record the appliance's width, height and depth, then the installation space and any additional provision required by the manual. Include the opening movement and access needed for routine tasks described by the manufacturer. A machine fitting into a rectangular outline does not establish that it can operate correctly in that location.
For an assumed space 70 centimetres wide and a dryer 60 centimetres wide, the arithmetic remainder is 10 centimetres. If centred, that would be 5 centimetres on each side. These invented measurements demonstrate a worksheet only; they are not a universal clearance recommendation or approval of a particular location.
Treat stacking as a separate approval question
If you intend to combine a dryer with a washing machine, verify the exact pairing and any approved accessory with the manufacturer. Do not infer compatibility from matching widths or a photograph of another household. Keep the model references of both appliances and the specified accessory in the record.
The historical dryer photographed above another appliance is not an installation recommendation. The washing-machine drum image provides context for the separate washing equipment that also has its own requirements. This guide does not explain how to lift, secure or connect appliances; those tasks require the relevant instructions and suitable competence.

Confirm the service scope before comparing prices
Ask the seller what delivery, placement and installation mean for the chosen model. Clarify which prerequisites must already be met and which work is excluded. A service described with one short label may not cover the additional preparation needed at your location.
For a hypothetical purchase, £600 for the dryer, £30 delivery, £50 installation and £25 removal total £705. If an approved accessory is separately quoted at an assumed £45, the revised total is £750. These are invented figures for scope comparison, not current prices or a claim that any particular accessory is necessary.
Keep the documents and unresolved questions together
GOV.UK's current guidance describes the product-information requirements and the available GB dryer label options. Save those documents with the installation manual, dimensions and written service quotation. This keeps the technical identity connected to the order rather than scattered across unrelated browser tabs.
Mark any unanswered question about location, connections or approved combinations before purchasing. If the model changes, review the installation record again instead of carrying over the previous assumptions. A complete checklist should help the supplier or installer answer specific questions; it should not create a false impression that a generic article has certified the site or the proposed arrangement.
